For over a decade, the Rescue Association has been striving to make Estonia a country where accidents, lost lives, and lost assets are rare occurrences. We partnered with RA to help increase their online awareness and provide clear means for supporting and joining the rescuers.
We conducted field research, visited various rescuer headquarters, and performed interviews to validate and improve goals for supporting the rescuers and joining the association. The existing RA visual identity needed refreshing to make it suitable for digital use. Alongside the refined logo and core components, we created new assets that helped define the characteristics and attributes of the rescuers. These were intended as a basis for consistent future identity update across digital and physical use cases.
Meeting different rescuers and shadowing a fire call gave us clear insight into the direction of photography. We teamed up with well-known photographers and adventurers Jarek Jõepera and Timo Palo, who embraced the challenge of harsh shooting conditions.
As a result, the updated website provided clear and structured communication. The fundraising campaigns, along with the new digital presence, successfully reached and even surpassed their financial goals. Digital presence on social media saw the start of a solid upward trend since then.
